Your Laptop Screen Goes Blue

You're watching your favorite movie on your Toshiba laptop when all of a sudden  your laptop screen goes blue.. You immediately see those dreaded warnings,  and you wonder to yourself,  "What's going on here?" The following could be a cause of your problems.

Detection of Error
A detection of Error is usually the first to surface.  This suggests a  device malfunction of some sort has been detected. This occurs whenever Windows detects anything strange to do with software, hardware or driver problems.  If  it's not taken off right immediately, it could lead to other headaches, including the almighty crash. The most likely solution may be that you'll have to replace your Windows operating system. But not to worry I'm gonna show you how to get rid of this sucker!

Re-install Windows Operating System
  • First pop in the Windows Operating System Disk
  • Restart your laptop
  • You should see a blue screen with  words travelling at the speed of light at the bottom of your screen
  • Then it will ask you whether  you want to Repair, Continue  or Quit
  • Hit Enter to continue and you'll be taken to the   Terms of agreement screen
  • Hit F8 to pass that screen.
  • The next screen will ask you whether you want to Install, Repair, Delete Partition, or Quit.
  • Hit R to Repair.
  • The CD then starts loading information to replace the corrupted files
  • Once the the information has been loaded, your laptop will shut down.
  • Next restart your laptop and use the newly loaded files
  • You will then be asked to type in a user name and register with Microsoft
  • Choose your username and skip your registration and you'll be sent back  to your desktop

Now that the repair is done, Let's see whether your laptop has been healed. Work with your laptop as usual and see whether the blue screen reappears again. If it shows up again, it means the repair job didn't work.

So What Next?

The way I see it, you have two options. The first option is to  reinstall Windows. The only problem here is that you'll end up losing all your files and pics, e.t.c. I suggest you back up all your files  before the reinstallation to avoid losing those files. If the reinstallation works, you have yourself a laptop. But if the blue screen still rears its head, then it's definitely a hardware problem which brings us to the second option. Assuming you didn't do the reinstallation yourself, you can always send it to the tech. No harm done except losing a few hours of your time. If it turns out that it's a mere hardware problem, then you wont lose any of your precious info. He'll just replace one hardware part with another. However, if it's not a hardware issue, you may have to reinstall the Operating System.

That's a wrap on what to do when  your laptop screen goes blue.I hope this tutorial doesnt  cause to pull your hair out Hopefully, it will be a breeze.

Just this past Christmas, you had one cool looking Acer Laptop . The first time you turned it on , its speed was such that you could compare it to that of a fighter jet. Three months later, your laptop is crawling like the turtle you saw in the zoo when you were a kid. Immediately you start pulling your hair like" What's going on here?" Well, keep your hair back on. I'll explain the possible causes.

Programs Overload
Yep! it's programs overload!you know all those cool programs that you love to download? like Mp3 files, music files, e.t.c? They're cool to download. The only problem is they clog up  memory space, causing program overload . Take your own human memory for instance. When you try to pump so much information into your brain your mind gets tired. It's the same situation with your laptop. The more programs you download, the memory space they consume, causing the laptop to crawl like the turtle. You could upgrade your laptop but there is only so much your laptop CPU can do. Your best solution is not to download too many programs at once. Also remove programs that you do not  really need. It will help the laptop regain its speed and efficiency. For help in cleaning up unwanted files, I suggest Duplicate File Cleaner  .It's been described by freedownloads.com as the most reliable and most efficient disk clean up utility around. and you can download it for free.

Some of you are probably asking" What in the world are you talking about?" Well, Spyware/Adware is software that companies automatically install on your PC as a means of getting cheap  advertisement anytime you visit their websites. What's scary is that all info on your PC is sent to some remote server  somewhere, thus invading your privacy. Also,  these programs clog up space on your PC memory, which could cause your PC to crash. I know it's difficult but you need to be mindful of the type of websites you visit to avoid your PC being turned into a  billboard. For removal of Spyware/Adware  get your hands on NoAdware . It's highly effective against Spyware and can be downloaded for free.

Viruses

An Email filtering solution will be perfect protection from the Trojans and the worms. Anti-virus software such  as HitMal should take care of that.

A Firewall is an absolute necessity for protection from those hackers online. If you have Windows 7  you should have no problems since the firewall is inbuilt!

Update Software Patches
Make sure you update the software  patches of your operating system. If you're using windows, click'Turn on Automatic Updates' and then install updates.
