- New LCD screen
- Small electronics screw driver( Get Computer Repair Tool Kit)
Now to the exercise.
- First switch the power off and unplug all the cables. Then eject your laptop battery. We don't want you getting an electric shock do we?
- Take off the small rubber screw covers holding the small screws. This should expose the small screws holding the LCD frame.
- Gently remove the LCD frame and unplug the LCD screen's cable and power supply chords. Also remove any tape holding the screen.
- Make sure you order an LCD screen that matches your manufacturer's model number or else it will not fit
- Plug in the new LCD screen and remove any tape holding the screen in place. And please do not pinch any wires as you press the frame back in place. That could cause electrical problems later.
- Now screw the frame down and switch the power on to see whether it works. If it does work, go ahead and replace the screw covers If not, remove the screws, battery and the frame. Then check your coonnections.
- If you're still having problems then I suggest you contact your laptop parts supplier for a new LCD screen.
